About Us
Adelaide Wants Their Team Back as the advocacy and campaigning organisation, while The MOB is its supporter and membership community.
We aren’t just asking for an NRL team. We are building the movement to bring one home.
Adelaide Wants Their Team Back is a community-driven campaign dedicated to bringing National Rugby League (NRL) football back to Adelaide and re-establishing South Australia as a home for professional rugby league.
Inspired by the legacy of the Adelaide Rams and the passion of rugby league supporters across South Australia, our campaign is about bringing people together behind one common goal: securing Adelaide’s place in the NRL once again.
We believe South Australia has the supporters, the sporting culture, the facilities and the potential to become a successful rugby league market. With thousands of rugby league fans living across the state, including passionate local supporters and people who have relocated from New South Wales, Queensland and other rugby league heartlands, there is an opportunity to build something special.
Through community engagement, supporter mobilisation, advocacy, research and working with local sporting organisations, businesses, government and rugby league stakeholders, we want to demonstrate that Adelaide is ready for its team.
Whether you are a lifelong Adelaide Rams supporter, a rugby league fan who has made South Australia home, or someone who simply wants to see Adelaide represented on the national sporting stage, there is a place for you in this movement.
This is our city. This is our game. And it’s time to bring our team back!
Mission Statement
OUR MISSION
#BRINGEMBACK
Our mission is to unite South Australian rugby league supporters, communities, businesses and stakeholders behind a common goal: to secure the return of an Adelaide-based team to the National Rugby League.
Through passionate advocacy, community engagement, supporter representation and evidence-based campaigning, we aim to demonstrate the strength of South Australia’s rugby league community and the potential for Adelaide to become a successful NRL destination.
We are committed to giving rugby league supporters a voice, building a united movement and creating a pathway for the next generation of South Australian rugby league fans.
Our Core Objectives
I would also recommend including these five objectives underneath your mission statement on the website.
1. Unite the Supporters – Bring together rugby league fans across South Australia through The MOB and the wider supporter community.
2. Advocate for Adelaide – Represent the interests of South Australian rugby league supporters and actively lobby for Adelaide’s inclusion in the NRL.
3. Build Community Support – Engage with regional communities, sporting clubs, businesses, government and local organisations.
4. Present the Case for Adelaide – Develop research, data and evidence demonstrating the commercial, sporting and community opportunities of an Adelaide NRL franchise.
5. Create a Lasting Legacy – Help establish a professional rugby league presence in South Australia that future generations can proudly support.
